“It takes practice to change our habits of surviving. Insight is not enough to create lasting change.”

Hi, I’m Leanna!

I’m a fellow human, a seeker of wisdom, a lover of dogs, an occasional goofball, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts and Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut. I am dedicated to continual excellence in the quality of service that I offer.

I provide creative and holistic therapy that is informed by integrating contemporary scientific research and time-tested wisdom from spirituality and art. I am always continuing to learn and endlessly curious.

I help people better understand what’s going on inside of them through creative and fun strategies - and then I help them find avenues for the change they crave.

Check out my values page to read about the core truths I weave into my therapeutic approach.

MORE than just talking to someone

If you’ve tried therapy before and it hasn’t been as helpful as you’d hoped, it may be because you need something different.

Much of what keeps us blocked and stuck in our pain is happening below the level of awareness.

In order to make effective and lasting change, therapy must involve a knowledge of what’s happening in the body.

I will guide you to a deeper understanding of how your body is operating and how to work WITH your body to achieve new outcomes.

You can do this! Let’s do it together.

Together, we will work to safely reconnect you with the wisdom inside through gentle exploration and gentle practice.

Oh, and this is Poppet. My co-therapist and dearest friend.
